Park the farthest from the door.

I call it the “Fat America” syndrome!

Running cars on idle, burning fuel waiting in a queue all in an effort to somehow walk fewer steps to the door! How counter intuitive is that? Park the farthest away you can. The average person’s daily activities accounts for about 30% of their calorie burn. More sedentary people can downgrade that to 15%.

The following ideas are really as simple and basic of ideas as one can find. Will they transform you overnight? No! They will however get you thinking in a new direction… change!

A fit forever lifestyle is the sum total of many small choices made throughout your days and years.

*Replace your chair with a balance ball. This will cause you to engage your core all day long.

*When speaking on the phone stand on a balance trainer or walk in place on a small trampoline.

*Take a step back from technology and do things by hand! Wash your dishes; chop the food with a knife. Walk to get your lunch don’t have it delivered. Simple tasks can add up!

*Eat more frequently. For most people, the body uses up more energy digesting smaller meals every few   hours than by eating the same number of calories in two or three sittings. Plus eating this way keeps   our metabolism running faster.

*Get more sleep! Over time getting less than four hours of sleeping less causes our metabolism to run slower.

*Laugh more! It burns up to 50 calories if you laugh for 10 to 15 minutes per day.

Laugh! Be joyful!
Feel happier and pass the happiness on.

*Invest in a basic pedometer to calculate your daily steps.  Try everyday to increase your steps.
